What's the most unique thing you've ever made for a client?
Lately, it's been a custom branded gumball machine full of dollar bills for a client. It's for a direct mail piece that illustrates the
idea of revenue sharing. Check it out here.
Marketing is about communicating a message. If something non-traditional is the right fit for the message,
then we don't shy away from it. Plus, it's fun.
What projects are you currently working on?
Lately, we've been working on a postcard campaign for Loftworks to help people deal with the construction problems on Highway 40, redesigning Drury Hotels' website and creating a new site for the architectural firm Oculus, Inc. To see a full list of current work or to peruse an archive of our earlier projects, check out our portfolio here.
How many people work at Atomicdust?
Currently, we are a 9 person shop. But in the future, we plan to be a 10-11 person shop.
I know this guy that does this stuff in his basement and doesn't charge anywhere near what you do!?
There are a lot of people out there who can make a website, brochure, etc. We offer smart and simple solutions for your brand. People trust us with their projects because they know us and our level of experience and dedication.
Didn't I see you guys in some national graphic design magazines like Print, Step, and Create?
Funny you should ask that. Yes. How weird.
I know I want to advertise my company, but which forms of media should I use?
That depends on two things: your message and your audience. What you want to say and how your audience is going to hear it form the core reason you're searching for an agency. Sending out email newsletters to an audience that isn't very computer savvy or creating a radio spot for a demographic that rarely tunes in defeats the purpose. That's where we come in. Using our experience and advertising skills, we will effectively communicate your ideas to produce results. For a full list of how we go about doing this, click here.
How will you know what to say about my business if you don't have any experience in my industry?
Although it sounds trite, we strive to learn something new every day. And whether it's the fact that the character of Pidge from Lion Voltron had a long lost twin brother named Chip that starred in the later Vehicle Voltron show to finding out that the most efficient bags to hold piles of fruit are made of polypropylene mesh, the intense amount of research we put into learning about our clients is apparent in the end product.
I'm always busy. Is there any easy way for me to see the progress of my project?
Yes. We recently found a gem of a program that allows us to track the development of every assignment we take on. With it, you can sign into your project's account and see what we're doing as well. You can even leave us notes on the built in message board or upload files to be used in your projects. We've found that by having both the client and our agency on the same page, everything runs a lot smoother.
What are you guys looking for in a client?
Our ideal client would be one that is willing to trust us with the creative concept we come up with, regardless of the fact that at presentation it may sound a little crazy. Now don't get us wrong, we're not out to overhaul clients who have an established and solid brand. We'll listen to you. We want a client that will listen to us when we make recommendations based on our skills and experience. Let's face it, there's a reason you hired us instead of doing this yourself.
How much is this going to cost?
That's a completely fair, but very tough question. It depends on a bunch of factors, from what you want to do to how long it will take to produce. In addition, the level of design your company currently has is an aspect to consider. Are you happy with your current logo, already have some amount of content, or have a strong concept already in mind? The amount of services you'll require will affect the bottom line. Haven't other companies in your area created FAQ sections that seem really, really similar to Atomicdust's?
Yeah, we noticed that too.
