After making successful Holiday campaigns for Drury Hotels the last two years, they once again came to us requesting a catchy way to promote their holiday rates.
We came up with the tagline: "Because you don't need the ENTIRE family staying with you this holiday season." This played off of the idea that people enjoy when family and friends come to visit for the holidays, but don't always want to act as a hotel to house said visitors.
To further illustrate this idea, we had a wall full of photographs, showing off an enormous collection of friends and family around a festive holiday wreath.
The direct mail piece was carried over into a Flash micro-site that provided names and stories to all of the people in the wall's photographs. When a particular photo was rolled over, it revealed a good reason for that person to stay at a Drury Hotel.
