Welcome Our Newest Designer, Adam Koon

Welcome Our Newest Designer, Adam Koon

We’re excited to announce another addition to the Atomicdust team, Designer Adam Koon. After wanting a change of pace from his home state of Ohio, Adam’s happy to join us in calling St. Louis home.

He studied graphic design and illustration at the Columbus College of Art and Design, and has put his knowledge to work on everything from hand-lettered greeting cards to app design and branding. When designing, he pulls from his background in illustration and a love for the ‘50s, both of which add to the earthy, organic look and feel that comes through in his work.

While his coffee addiction and love of chocolate fit right in at Atomicdust, he didn’t quite sneak in under the radar. At 6’4”, Adam has proudly taken the crown for tallest Atomicdust-er. (Sorry, Katie). He’s only been in town for a few weeks, but Adam’s already been greeted with St. Louis’ famous zoo, local beer and humidity.

When he’s not designing here at Atomicdust, he volunteers his talents for various projects, including his current project: designing a cover for an upcoming book about youth and foster care. And when he finally takes a break from design and illustration, you can find Adam biking around the city, at the movies or kicking back with an episode of “Bob’s Burgers.”

Starting in pre-med, ending in advertising, he notes that anything can be inspiring, that inspiration surfaces when things click and work together – thoughts, surroundings, everything.
