Atomicdust is on the hunt for talented designers. As we continue to grow, we're looking for self-motivated people with strong print and web design skills who love thinking most of all. This role includes working on multiple projects from strategy to execution, providing design and strategic insight in a collaborative, tight-knit culture.

Please submit your resume and a sampling of work (PDF or a link to an online portfolio are preferred over mailed samples) as well as a little bit of information about why you’d be a good fit for our team to Matt Roeser at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). Elsevier Performance Manager Brochure

Elsevier Performance Manager is an online education and performance management solution. It offers the tools hospitals need to better manage, develop and communicate with their staff – the tools they need for Improvement at the Core.

We illustrated the idea of Improvement at the Core in the sales brochure, with imagery and copy that spoke to real pain points and challenges hospitals face each day. We were honest about the fact that running a hospital team is an immense challenge, but showcased that with Elsevier Performance Manager at your side, you’ll be able to keep improving.

Improving St. Louis… Twenty Slides at a Time

Last week, we attended the latest Pecha Kucha St. Louis gathering at the Schlafly Tap Room.

I bet you’re wondering what Pecha Kucha is, right? And, more importantly, how the heck do you pronounce it?

Basically, Pecha Kucha is a night for groups and individuals to make a short presentation on their ideas to improve St. Louis. They have 20 slides, with 20 seconds to spend on each slide.

Last week’s topics ranged from the benefits of organic farming to a case being made for more bike trails in St. Louis, as well as a brief history of photobooths, two brothers who make St. Louis-themed apparel and an impassioned initiative to make St. Louis even greater.

We had a great time and want to thank the sponsors of this event and the groups and individuals who educated, inspired and amused us. As for that pronunciation? We’re still working on it...

If you’re interested in learning more about Pecha Kucha St. Louis or seeing a schedule of future events, check out their website. And if you're wondering where that lovely picture came from, check out Jay Fram's photos from the event at Pecha Kucha's Facebook page

Point of Care Guidelines Website

CPMRC's Point of Care Guidelines have been the leading interdisciplinary guidelines for hospitals for over 20 years. Their guidelines get everyone in the hospital on the same page in order to provide the best patient care. In the past, the guidelines were sent out in a paper or CD format. With a plan to launch their new web-based version of the guidelines, we created a set of materials to get the message out to their audience.

The first part of the campaign was the website. Just as their product stands out from a sea of other guidelines, we crafted a site that stood out from their competitors. We used imagery and movement that showed how Point of Care Guidelines connected everyone in the hospital. That, coupled with digestible explanations of how the product worked, resulted in a site that is clean, concise and a breath of fresh air to the industry.

Check out Point of Care Guidelines.

Atomicdust Takes Home 2 Business Marketing Association TAM Awards

This past week, we were awarded 2 Targeted Marketing & Advertising (TAM) Awards from the Business Marketing Association of St. Louis. We won for our Oculus Capabilities Brochure and our Self-Promotion Sales Postcards. Look how awkward Mike looks as he accepts the awards along with his fellow winners…

Atomicdust Bowling Day…

Last Friday, we spent the first half of the day reflecting on the past year of our business, discussing ways to keep us going and growing. Then, after stopping for lunch at Houlihan’s, we took over lanes 29 and 30 of Tropicana Bowl in Brentwood. Enjoy some photos below of our day. Like usual, Billy, Katie and Michael outshone everyone else’s combined scores with their pro-like pin-smashing. And while his bowling may not be the best, Mike’s skills at the Claw Game are unmatched. He ended up taking home a record 8 stuffed animals that he grabbed over a 20-minute period.

This Week at Atomicdust: July 13-17

Here are just a few things we worked on this week…
image
1. Our design for the Florsheim Work website is currently being coded up. Pretty soon, you’ll be able to explore more about each of the boots they offer as well as purchase them from the site.

2. Logos School is having their 22nd Annual Auction & Dinner October 3 and we’ve begun work on promotional pieces for it, using their theme this year of the “Successes of Logos School.”

3. We’re putting the finishing touches on redesigns for art and framing stores Deck the Walls and The Great Frame Up. In the next few weeks, new main sites will launch as well as individual franchise owner sites that offer areas for personalization about their specific location.

4. This week has been all about boots! In addition to our Florsheim Work site for Warson Group, we also began creating a new site for another one of their brands: Rockport.

5. We entered several Business-to-Business projects we’ve created over the past year into 2009’s Targeted Advertising & Marketing (TAM) Awards put on by the Business Marketing Association of St. Louis. We’ll let you know how we do!
