Atomicdust Refreshes Website and Messaging for Resinate Materials Group

Resinate Materials Group came to us with a problem: their core promise – high quality, custom resins at stable prices – was lost in their website’s dated design and (by their own admission) inaccurate content.

Right away, we saw this wasn’t a design or writing challenge. This was a branding problem. So we started by interviewing key stakeholders from Resinate to gain a deep understanding of the company’s place in the resin market.

Naming, Branding and Website Design for Daugherty Mobile Suite

One project leads to another.

We were in the midst of a full-scale branding program for our new client, Daugherty Business Solutions, when they came to us with a more urgent task: branding their new, mobile-oriented products.

This in and of itself represented a seismic change for the company. Daugherty had always focused on long-term consultative client relationships, rather than individual products or services. Daugherty asked us to name these new products in a way that positioned them as an extension of the company’s experience and expertise, not as a separate entity or independent division.

In the competitive marketplace, names for mobile-focused divisions run the gamut from straightforward to esoteric. We decided to leverage Daugherty’s brand equity – they have a long history in the IT consulting space – and name the set of products the Daugherty Mobile Suite. It’s simple, descriptive and accurate, while giving the company the flexibility to add new products or functionality without rebranding.

Atomicdust Wins Two Regional ADDY Awards

Recently, we announced that some of our work had been recognized for ADDY Awards at the local level. We’re happy to report that two out of the three local winners have won Silver ADDY Awards at the regional level. We're proud of the work we've done on the Yurbuds website and mobile website and look forward to see how they perform at this next level.

The ADDY Awards are the largest advertising competition in the world, with nearly 50,000 entries being submitted by marketers and advertisers across the country.

Atomicdust Showcases Design and History for Koplar Properties

The Koplar family has been a part of real estate development in St. Louis since the 1920s. They have created some of the St. Louis region's most memorable, iconic architectural landmarks and cultural institutions, including the Chase Park Plaza and KPLR-11 TV. They also created several children's television programs, including the recently revived Voltron.

New Messaging, New Website for Florsheim Work

Our longtime client, Florsheim Work, asked us to refresh their website with new messaging, new design – and an improved e-commerce section, to make it easier for customers to find the shoes they need, and for Florsheim Work personnel to update the ever-changing stock.

Florsheim Work makes safety footwear that doesn't look like safety footwear. It's not bulky, stiff or uncomfortable. This drives their core promise: their shoes are equally comfortable and appropriate on the factory floor, in the office and at dinner with the family.

Atomicdust lends a hand for U.S. Crisis Care’s branding and marketing

When we were first introduced to U.S. Crisis Care by a board member – and Atomicdust client – what we found was a small, passionate organization doing some very important work. Their mission was fairly well articulated:

“...a nonprofit organization that supports the development and operation of community crisis care programs...”

Their goals were pretty clear, they were organized and had had many accomplishments over the past 25 years. In this case, Atomicdust met U.S. Crisis Care at a time when they seemed to have their situation figured out. We weren’t sure where we were needed, but we wanted to help the organization... and we believed in our ability to help even the most successful groups get even better. They agreed to let us apply our Branding Program to see what Atomicdust could do to strengthen their efforts.

Atomicdust Wins Three Addy Awards

Atomicdust took home three of the coveted Addy Awards from Ad Club St. Louis during last Thursday's show at Copia Restaurant & Winegarden. 

Our monthly wallpapers won a Gold Addy for Self Promotion, Non-Traditional, and our work on the Yurbuds website landed us with two Silver Addys in the Interactive Media category - one for Websites, Consumer HTML, Products, and the other for its Mobile Website.

Atomicdust featured in “The best 365 websites around the world”

Back in June, we were flattered by the Awwwards "Site of the Day" award for our work with Yurbuds (in collaboration with our friends at Halski Studio).

The Awwwards published the book The Best 365 Websites Around the World featuring every "Site of the Day" for 2011, and our copy arrived at our office today!

The goal of Awwwards is not just to recognize the best developers, designers and web agencies in the world, but also to promote their talents and efforts. Websites are scored on a scale of 1 to 10 for Design, Creativity, Usability and Content, rated by an international jury of the most important designers, bloggers and internet agencies around.

Needless to say, we’re humbled to be recognized for our work, and proud to be included in the prestigious Awwwards book.

Atomicdust Nominated for Three ADDY Awards

It’s that time of year again, when the St. Louis Ad Club shares its love with local agencies and designers. No, not with Valentines, but with ADDY award nominations. Atomicdust earned three nominations for the coveted awards.

Our designers earned a nod for their wallpapers, which are posted each month to our blog. In addition, our web work for Yurbuds (which we made with our friends at Halski Studio) was nominated in two categories, once for the main website and again for the mobile, app-like version.

We’re thrilled to be recognized alongside so many talented companies, and look forward to toasting the winners at the awards show on Thursday, Feb. 16.
