February 2016 Marketing and Design Events

As we kick off the month of February at Atomicdust, we’re gearing up for a full list of events – so that extra leap day might come in handy. We’re looking forward to some of the biggest celebrations of the year, including the American Advertising (ADDY) Awards and the American Marketing Association Conference. Throughout the month, there are plenty of great opportunities to network and learn more about advertising, design and marketing in St. Louis. Be sure to mark your calendars.

Bright&Early: Chris Ryan 
8 a.m. – 9 a.m. at The Stage at KDHX

Bright&Early’s morning lecture series returns for 2016 with local director and cinematographer Chris Ryan. Ryan leads the team at Once Films, a boutique production studio that creates documentary films – both for commercial clients and their own personal interests. He’ll be sharing learnings from his experience in filmmaking and storytelling – and of course, there will be coffee and donuts. RSVP on Facebook.

55th Annual American Marketing Association Conference
8 a.m. – 4:45 p.m. at The Saint Louis Zoo

The half-day event from AMA St. Louis features notable speakers from St. Louis and beyond, including the brains behind the marketing for Express Scripts, Total Hockey, MasterCard, and McDonald’s. Following the conference, join the annual Agency Crawl to visit Industrious, Elasticity and T-Rex in downtown St. Louis. Register for the conference on the AMA website.

Featuring the work of several area artists, this exhibition explores the labor intensive processes behind ceramics, printmaking, fiber, and weaving. Junior- and senior-level design students are invited to AIGA’s annual conference to connect with other students and local professionals.
