RE: In the Shadow of the Arch
1 p.m. at CAM

Since its completion in 1965, the Gateway Arch remains the most recognizable landmark of St. Louis. The creation of the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial contains a long and complex narrative in itself, and questions of its legacy bring up a history of urban decay and displacement. Hear from Rhonda Buell Schier, Chief of Museum Services and Interpretation at the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial, and Michael Allen, Director and Architectural Historian of the Preservation Research Office. Stationary Workshop
1:30 p.m.- 3 p.m. at Central Print

Join Central Print for this 1-session workshop where you can make your own stationery. Choose an image from our archive of over 50 unique letterpress designs, learn a few printing tips and tricks, and crank out a pile of prints. Students will leave the class with 20-25 pieces of fully printed stationery and matching envelopes. Register here.

Starting in July, the Strauss Park ALIVE Festival will transform Strauss Park, located in the heart of the Grand Center Arts District, into an 8-week, summer-themed celebration of art.
