Critical to World Events Productions’ mission to bring back Voltron was a web-based strategy returning him to the hearts and minds of consumers, then placing him back in the hands of consumers by promoting sales of the newly released DVD.
We yanked down the website and put up a countdown created to build anticipation, resulting in over 1.5 million site visits within the first three weeks of launching, then translating to $5.4 million in DVD sales to date. Mission accomplished.
