St. Louis Program Series: Influence: The Art & Science of Changing Minds
11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Armstrong Teasdale 

What if you could snap your fingers and people would instantly agree with your position? It may not be that easy – however, you can dramatically improve your effectiveness if you understand how people make decisions and what causes them to act. This dynamic program by Steve Hughes draws on the latest psychological research to illustrate how you can influence prospects, clients and colleagues to see things your way and change their minds. Frank Lloyd Wright’s Samara: A Mid-Century Dream Home (Dates Vary)
At The Sheldon Concert Hall & Art Galleries in Grand Center

Traveled by ExhibitsUSA, this exhibition explores the creation of a Wright house through the eyes a client who spent more than fifty years fulfilling the architect’s Usonian vision. The story of the home is told through the juxtaposition of original objects and furniture, architectural fragments, rare archival materials, historic photographs and video footage. Bright & Early: Zoë Scharf
8 a.m. – 9 a.m. at Magnolia Café and The Stage at KDHX

The concept is simple: come drink coffee + eat breakfast while being inspired by the creative community in our city. All for free. Mentor Match Celebration

Join AIGA St. Louis to celebrate the completion of the 2015 Fall Mentor Match program. The mentees have been working these past four months on a unique design project under the direction of their mentor and are eager to show it off to the greater design community. 40th Annual Soulard Holiday Parlour Tour
10 a.m. – 4 p.m. (12/5), 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. (12/6) in the Soulard Neighborhood

The event will feature tours of several unique homes, a holiday bazaar, food, music and much more. Soulard features beautifully restored 19th-century red brick Victorian homes and Federal-style townhouses from the mid- to late-1800s. Heated shuttles will take guests from house to house, where they will get to meet homeowners and hear interesting facts and stories about their restoration efforts. RSVP on Facebook.

Lunch With Ernest Holiday Extravaganza
12 p.m. – 2 p.m. at EdgeWild Restaurant & Winery in Chesterfield

Lunch With Ernest is a great time to network, eat, learn and relax. Join a great group of people who meet on a monthly basis to learn and help each other in their respective sales industries, while giving back to the community. Although LWE is always free, they will be accepting donations for Cystic Fibrosis. With every $10 donation, a festive photo, drawings, food and beverage will be provided. Register here.

Networking: Jurassic Party
6 p.m. at T-REX in the Lammert Building

Join St. Louis’ marketing, advertising and PR community for a Holiday Happy Hour at T–REX St. Louis. Having seen a year of tremendous growth in the St. Louis Startup community, they are returning to T–REX’s fifth floor, the hub of their community space for work and play, and the perfect location to bring together new companies with the metro area’s best promoters. Coloring Club 
6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Urban Chestnut – The Grove 

Indulge in a bit of nostalgia! Each month, City in a Jar hosts a “coloring club” complete with a custom coloring page drawn by a local artist. This month, color a custom coloring page by our own designer/illustrator Adam Koon. To accommodate more coloring, there will be two events in December!  Tickets are $5 and include a custom coloring page, coloring materials provided by Blick Art Materials and beer specials at Urban Chestnut! Join us as we break out the colored pencils and crayons, grab a beer and relieve a little stress.

Yelp’s Winter Wonderland
7 p.m – 9 p.m. at The Grand Hall

Celebrate the holiday season in St. Louis with a snow-capped evening of sophistication, socialization, and holiday magic! Enjoy complimentary wine and spirit tastings, local beer, incredible sweets, a DJ, photo booth and more. This is a free event to attend, and open to anyone 21+ who creates a free profile with a real profile picture. Optional $10 donations will be accepted at the door, where 100% of proceeds go to Pedal The Cause. Register here.

Tackling That Social Media Monster

The St. Louis Area Market Council is thrilled to host this training by presenter and social media marketing guru, Ryan Jaycox.
