A bold, design-focused identity and website helped a 124-year-old glove manufacturer defy category expectations.

Redefining a Workwear Brand

Since the 1890s, people worldwide have trusted Kewanee, Illinois-based Boss Gloves to provide gloves, boots, and safety gear for a variety of industries.  Atomicdust wanted to help Boss break through the stagnant workwear category with great design — and a story about something bigger than the gloves themselves.

Build Great Things

We gave Boss a tagline —“Build Great Things” — that speaks to consumers, retailers and distributors in the brand’s new, straightforward voice. Short, action-oriented headlines are balanced by friendly, vivid colors and bold images. Oversized product photography wordlessly emphasizes the quality of the products, showing off every stitch.

Bold and Mobile-Friendly

The new website delivers on Boss’s longtime promise of better service and selection, with an improved e-commerce experience. A secure space for retailers and distributors provides easy access to billing details and sales supplies. The website has been honored with W3 Awards, Marketing Excellence Awards (ME Show) and at the AIGA St. Louis Design Show for its easy-to-navigate, bold design.
