Frances Foster

Senior Designer

Frances Foster joined Atomicdust with significant branding experience—having developed brands for global manufacturers, local food and beverage startups, and a wide array of consumer goods companies. Most recently, she had spent seven years running M.F. Foster Studio and gaining notoriety for her work.

Her conviction is straightforward: design must work as well as it looks. This philosophy defines every project she touches—from identity systems to packaging to digital experiences. Frances builds visual languages where strategy drives form, with every decision serving a clear purpose. Her work pairs intellectual clarity with human sensibility.

Frances’ personal design aesthetic has been described as “authentically rural, but doesn’t resort to tired Southern clichés. It’s elegant, but also unapologetically powerful. It’s subtly epic, but intensely personal at the same time.” Her approach remains central to how she works today.

Before establishing her independent practice, Frances developed expertise across advertising and brand development. Each project reflects the same commitment to craft and conceptual rigor. Her background in fine arts informs an understanding of design as both discipline and creative inquiry.

At Atomicdust, Frances works across strategic branding, digital, experiential and print projects.
