Things We’ve Learned So Far:
Competition and Positioning

8AM on Thursday, November 12

Why do companies hire marketing firms?

The underlying reason is competition. Most companies try to be more competitive by building a shinier website, buying a bigger tradeshow booth, or by launching a new campaign. Instead, they should focus on building an advantage through positioning.

Positioning is what makes a car more drivable, shoes more wearable and beards more acceptable. Positioning and the experience designed around it create differentiation.

On Thursday, November 12, Atomicdust Creative Director Mike Spakowski and Account Director Jesse McGowan will share more on why a new website isn’t always the answer, as well as the nature of competition and the role of positioning and design in creating competitive advantage.

Join us at The Stage at KDHX (3524 Washington Ave.) for coffee and snacks, followed by the presentation at 8:30 a.m. The presentation will last about an hour, with time for questions and conversation afterward.
