It’s the Most Wonderful Time of Year: Midtown Alley BBQ Season

Join Atomicdust September 17, for our 4th Annual Midtown Alley BBQ. Each year, we invite the best and brightest (or just the hungriest) St. Louis advertising, marketing and design agencies to come together for great food and friendly competition.

Tickets to the event cost just $20, and you get a plate of food and four beverages. We’ll have BBQ, sides and vegetarian options from Sugarfire Smoke House, beer from 4 Hands Brewing and Urban Chestnut, and desserts from The Cook’s Life. And to top it off, Simple Girl will be bringing samples of their all-natural sauces and dressings.

We’ll have entertainment from Rocky Mountain Oysters, the Bubble Bus and sets of washers and cornhole from Francis Woodworking.

And of course, we’ll be holding the annual agency BBQ competition. This year, we have 15 agencies participating and all will be grilling ribs from Mac’s Local Buys and using Missouri-made Rockwood Charcoal. Participating agencies include:

Goebel & Co. Furniture
2e Creative
90 Degrees West
Sandbox Creative

This year’s judges are from some of our favorite local restaurants, and they know meat. Chris Bolyard is the Head Butcher and Owner of Bolyard’s Meat & Provisions in Maplewood; Simon Lusky is the Team Chef for the St. Louis Cardinals and Owner of Revel Kitchen; Mike Johnson is the Chef and Owner of Sugarfire Smoke House; and Rick Lewis is the Chef and Co-Owner of (Atomicdust’s new favorite lunch spot) Southern.

Proceeds from the event support our friends at Food Outreach, who provide nutritional support and enhance the quality of life of men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS or cancer in St. Louis.

Be sure to RSVP on Facebook (and invite your friends!). Tickets can be purchased online in advance or the night of the BBQ near Cardinal and Locust. Hope to see you there!
