Atomicdust Holiday Wishlist, Vol. 3

Atomicdust Holiday Wishlist, Vol. 3

Less than ten days left to get your holiday shopping done! Still looking for inspiration? Check out the third installment of the Atomicdust Holiday Wishlist.

Humanscale Paramount

From Motion Graphics Designer, Jeremy Cox – Have you ever seen all the windows, bins, timelines and so on in apps like Photoshop, After Effects, or Illustrator? Ever banged your head against the wall trying to figure out the PERFECT workspace for all the windows that are important to you, only to realize you left one out? Have you ever grown tired or frustrated of using Exposé or Spaces to switch and navigate between apps? Do you find yourself constantly longing for more of that valuable monitor real estate? I have…

That’s why Santa better bring me the Humanscale Paramount ($1,800). Is it overkill? A little. Is it insane? Yeah, probably. But it’s the mother of all monitor mounts. It can acomodate anywhere from two to eight monitors and offers independent adjustment for perfect placement, crossbar “wings” that adjust from front to back to let you choose between a flat or parabolic display, and an integrated cable management system to hide the huge mess of cables from sight.

Of course, even if Santa grants this wish, I would still need to acquire 8 monitors and a machine capable of running them at one time. I guess those will go on my birthday list…

Kid Made Modern

From Creative Director, Mike Spakowski – Every year, we close down shop from Christmas Eve to New Years, so I’ll be enjoying some time with my sons.  My 4-year-old, Ian, is at the age where he wants to hang any artwork he makes on the walls of our house, and with the help of Kid Made Modern by Todd Oldham, there’s a good chance those walls will look a lot better.

Mario Kart R/C

From Web Developer, Tim Gieseking – Here at the Atomicdust office, we lack a Nintendo 64. What we don’t lack is a large concrete floor; a floor perfect for Mario Kart R/C toys from Think Geek. Mario and Yoshi are no small R/C cars either. The pair are “big enough for a Chihuahua to pilot.” Check out the video for some remote-controlled Mario Kart awesomeness. Real-life Rainbow Road not included.

Jeep Wagoneer

From Partner, James Dixson – Even though this Jeep Wagoneer debuted in the 1960s, if you search long and hard on eBay you can find one in decent running condition. It is rumored that Chrysler is planning to re-debut the Jeep Wagoneer in 2013.

twenty 12 planner

From Account Manager, Erika CruseHow lame am I? All I want for Christmas is a twenty 12 planner. But seriously, it’s hard to remember everything I’m supposed to do in a day — especially when I’m off trying to save the world one recycled can at a time. That’s why this planner is so amazing. This year, I used the twenty 11 planner and can’t describe its level of awesomeness.

Each week, we’ll be featuring a new set of gifts and gadgets from our wishlist. Check out  Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, and stay tuned next week for our final Atomicdust Holiday Wishlist.
