Introducing Brand Workshops

Sometimes, you have to mix it up. That’s the idea behind something new we’re doing at Atomicdust for select clients.

This summer, we started hosting offsite workshops with structured exercises designed to generate new ideas, uncover fresh opportunities and create unique positioning language for our clients (and even for ourselves).

These workshops, which range from a half-day to two full days, have whisked small internal and client teams away from the distractions of day-to-day office life. Each workshop has been an intense, super-concentrated approach to idea generation that has, if you can forgive the marketing cliché, produced real results.

The tightly scheduled workshops consist of a series of timed exercises that focus on core values and differentiators. There’s a lot of talking, a lot of writing and a lot of placing sticky notes on boards around the room.

The steps vary from case to case. Since every client’s situation is different, we customize the structure of the workshop based on specific goals or needs.

Branding Workshops

For example, at the end of the workshop we might walk away with internal positioning language our client can use to develop unique customer-facing messages. We might develop a set of “supporting points” that further define what makes our client different from everyone else. We may even create a “brand narrative” that defines the essence of why you do what you do.

In every case, we’re working to create a foundation for practical marketing strategies – based on internal culture and resources – that our clients can put into action.

We’ve found the best thing about our Brand Workshops is the energy they give us and our clients. The exercises aren’t easy. But even when our clients leave the workshop exhausted, they’re also leaving with renewed passion for their brand and a clearer sense of what’s next.
