Join us at Atomicdust on Sept. 27 for a Webflow Meetup

We’re always exploring new ways for designers to do great work. That’s why we’re proud to be hosting the Webflow STL Meetup on September 27th.

Here’s the link for the event on Facebook.

Webflow is a web-based drag-and-drop tool for building responsive websites. It frees designers to use a visual approach to express their ideas on the web, freeing them from the static rectangles of standard print design tools to create functional, purposeful, usable websites.

The focus of the Meetup will be around entering the web design space as a graphic designer.

We know there are a lot of methods out there that can let designers build websites without knowing how to code, including WordPress themes, page builders, Squarespace and others – but a lot of those have built-in limits. The promise of Webflow is intriguing, because it gives designers a much more flexible platform on which to build whatever they want.

We don’t have any affiliation with Webflow, and not getting paid to host this event or endorse their products.

We’re hosting this event for 2 reasons.

First, a lot of designers are afraid to bridge the gap into web development, and tools like Webflow are great at supporting them along the way.

And second, we try to do whatever we can to support the St. Louis creative community. We see real value in moving beyond the traditional advertising agency roles. There are benefits to all of us (including our clients) in exploring what’s out there.

We see the future of design as more purposeful, functional and wonderful, and perhaps Webflow is one tool that will help us all get there. Let’s look beyond static rectangles and find out – because as we say, this internet thing is really catching on. We hope to see you there.

And if you’re interested or need help with an event that would benefit the St. Louis Creative Community, let’s talk.
