PROJECT MANAGER

Job Description

As a Project Manager, you are responsible for the process of planning and running projects from beginning to completion. You will be responsible for developing the strategy that allows the team to create great design while working within the planned timeframe and budget. You will facilitate a clear process by setting defined and realistic milestones; enable communication across team members; inform the team of progress, risks and changes; report status company-wide; and solve issues as they arise.

  • Mastery of clear communication (written and presentations)
  • An ability to forecast and circumvent problems and risks
  • An interest in working with multidisciplinary teams on unique projects

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Account Manager and Creative Director on project scope, goals, resources, deliverables, milestones, tasks and budget
  • Develop full-scale, detailed project plans using Copper Project Management
  • Assemble and coordinate project staff
  • Manage project budget
  • Manage resource allocation across all projects
  • Plan and schedule project timelines
  • Track project tasks, milestones and deliverables on a daily basis
  • Conduct daily stand-up meetings with all project resources
  • Provide front line quality assurance on project deliverables
  • Manage review cycle of project deliverables with the Creative Director
  • Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to Account Manager, Creative Director and Director of Operations
  • Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions to the Account Manager on a weekly basis
  • In collaboration with the Account Manager, implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
  • Document project results, lessons learned, and deliverable archive
  • Coordinate contractor resources, manage contractor time-sheets and verify contractor invoices
  • Manage all print coordination and print vendor communication
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Five years experience in project management
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects
  • Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management
  • Knowledge of project management techniques and tools
  • Direct work experience in project management capacity
  • Proven experience in people management
  • Proven experience in strategic planning
  • Proven experience in risk management
  • Proven experience in change management
  • Proficient in project management software, Copper Project Management is preferred
  • Candidates with experience in a creative firm will be given priority
  • Candidates with experience in print and print vendor coordination will be given priority
