Say Hello to Graphic Designer Carla Haines

Say Hello to Graphic Designer Carla Haines

Design breathes color into the mundane. And that’s exactly what drives Carla Haines.

She’s our newest graphic designer, and she’s also right.

But Carla’s journey into the field has been anything but ordinary: it started in an economics course, where she was inspired by the inner workings of successful companies.

After completing her degree in entrepreneurship, marketing and advertising at Webster University, she continued her study of art direction and advertising campaigns at the Chicago Portfolio School. It was during this one-year portfolio program that she honed her craft—working under the instruction of creative directors hailing from renowned agencies Leo Burnett, Oglivy and Havas—and brought it back to St. Louis with her.

Thanks to her business background and photographer’s eye for imagery, Carla has a holistic perspectivemodernizing brands while preserving their authenticity. Her portfolio speaks for itself, showcasing her skills in photography, branding and packaging design. Carla simplifies intricate ideas into visually appealing designs that leave a lasting impression on her clients and their audiences.

Outside of work, Carla is a true supporter of all things St. Louis—hanging out on Forest Park’s Art Hill (obviously), trying new restaurants and seeing shows at various music venues (her partner is in a band). A foodie at heart, she would like to encourage you to order the steak spring roll at Lona’s Lil Eats immediately. Carla dreams of creating a cookbook centered around pasta, blending design and gastronomya nod to her creative prowess and deep belief that design belongs everywhere, even in cooking instructions.

Carla has already impressed clients and our team with her creative chops, and we’re excited to see her talents applied to more projects in the future. Grab a steak spring roll, keep an eye out for that cookbook and join us in welcoming her to the team!
