Atomicdust Welcomes Senior Designer Andy Potts

Atomicdust Welcomes Senior Designer Andy Potts

Less, but better. Simplicity is key.

Andy Potts thinks about that approach to design a lot. It’s a riff on a quote from Dieter Rams, a famous designer known for creating the 10 principles of good design. We’re pretty big Dieter Rams fans at Atomicdust (we once hosted a screening of a documentary about the guy) so when Andy started dropping Rams knowledge, we knew he’d fit in well with our team.

Andy earned a BFA in graphic design from Lindenwood University, where he learned how to apply his talent for solving complex puzzles to visual design.

With a reputation for developing standout brand identities, packaging concepts, marketing materials, sales collateral, photography and more, Andy combines precision and creativity to create highly effective and meaningful work. This versatility has led him to work in various industries—including beer and liquor, consumer goods and finance. He even managed an in-house design team for a plant-based meat company before joining Atomicdust.

On top of his keen eye and innate talent, Andy stays positive and nimble as he navigates projects, fearlessly exploring new concepts and innovative designs. His passion for creativity, people and life is seen in each and every piece of his work.

Andy’s craving for a good challenge extends outside of the office—we’re continuously amazed by his weekend activities. He regularly runs marathons, and is currently gearing up for a grueling 60-mile race and a backyard-style ultra marathon that lasts until everyone quits. (Yes, you read that right. We couldn’t believe it either.) A talented woodworker, he builds bespoke furniture in his woodshop, and loves to hang out with his dog, Jemma.

With his original thinking, diverse experience and unwavering passion for design, we couldn’t be more excited to have Andy on the team. Stay tuned to see some of the work he’s already been producing for clients since coming aboard.
