Our Design Team is Getting Some (Well-Deserved) Recognition

Our Design Team is Getting Some (Well-Deserved) RecognitionSome people like to ease into the new year. Apparently, our designers aren’t those people.

We kicked off this week with Katie’s ‘Wing It’ iPhone design being featured in Chris Streger’s ‘To Resolve’ Project. Ever make a New Year’s resolution and then forget about it by February? Yeah, us too. That’s why Chris started the ‘To Resolve’ Project, where designers create wallpapers of their resolutions to go in the one place they look everyday – their iPhone. And, lucky you, you can download Katie’s design for your own phone (or iPad or desktop).

Then, on Tuesday, Matt’s New Cover blog (which we’ve gushed about before) hit the big time, appearing on designworklife. The blog is run by New York-based Seamless Creative and features daily ‘design-centric inspiration.’ Hear that, Matt? Your work is inspirational!

Later that afternoon, Matt’s blog was featured by The St. Louis Egotist, who gushed over his ‘clever concepts, layout and delightfully aware typography’. We couldn’t have said it better ourselves.

Think it stops there? Wrong.

Wednesday, The St. Louis Egotist posted an article about a local iPhone photography blog, BeautifuLOU, which happens to belong to our very own Jason Stoff. Glad to see those lunchtime walks to Planet Sub are paying off, Jason.

And just to drive home the power of the internet, Matt also got shout-outs for his New Cover blog this week on Under Consideration’s Quipsologies blog, which ‘chronicles the most curious, creative, and notable projects, stories, and events of the graphic design industry,’ and on Monomoda, who called his book covers ‘absolutely stunning.’

We’re so proud of our design team for the excellent work they’ve been doing- on and off the clock. Can’t wait to see what the rest of this week (and the rest of 2011) bring our way.
