Patrick Shannon: Web Developer and Pretty Much Anything Else You Can Think Of

Atomicdust’s newest hire, Patrick Shannon, is already a familiar face around the office – he’s been freelancing with us on web development projects on and off for the last few years. We’re excited that after years of working at agencies across St. Louis, he’s landed here as a full-time web developer.

Patrick has always been creative, and he started playing around with design and code as what he thought was “just a hobby.” As a problem-solver with an artistic vision, it was only natural when his self-taught skills transformed into a marketing career. From print and graphic design to website and video creation, he has never stopped exploring more of these “hobbies” with each job he’s had.

Patrick gets his inspiration from striking visuals around him, especially online. Seeing from both a design and development standpoint gives him a unique perspective in the marketing world, enabling him to anticipate problems and approach each task more efficiently.

When he isn’t creating online masterpieces at work, Patrick explores art in other ways – sketching, painting, photography and even fencing. Just when we thought we couldn’t fit another talent into this post, he also builds his own furniture and recently created a fully functioning, wooden PC. We can’t wait to see what he comes up with next!
