Volunteer to Give Portfolio Reviews at AIGA STL’s Student Conference

St. Louis has an awesome creative community.

Beyond the collaborative events and great work coming out of our city, one of the best parts of our local design community is having so many opportunities to shape its future.

And one of those opportunities is coming up soon.

AIGA St. Louis is looking for volunteers to give portfolio reviews and participate in roundtable discussions for its annual Student Design Conference, taking place the weekend of February 27-28. This year’s virtual event will include three workshops, two keynote speakers and roundtables, all to help students across the Midwest expand their skills, make connections and prepare for a successful career in branding, web design, animation and more.

The organization needs 40 more volunteers to give junior and senior design students feedback and advice on their work.

The details:

Portfolio reviews will take place Sunday, February 28, between 1-2:50 p.m. Volunteers will meet with up to four students for 20-minute reviews with scheduled breaks.

To sign up to volunteer, fill out this form by February 12, 2020. (You’ll have virtual company! Several Atomicdust team members will also be reviewing portfolios.)

You can also volunteer to participate in roundtable discussions led by an AIGA St. Louis member, where students will be able to ask local design leaders questions about the industry and how to launch their careers. If you’re interested in participating, email Caren Schlossberg-Wood, AIGA St. Louis Education Co-Chair, at [email protected].
