Atomicdust Wins Web Excellence Award for City Museum Site

Atomicdust Wins Web Excellence Award for City Museum Site

City Museum is unlike any other museum in the world. It’s an ever-evolving artistic playground featuring a 10-story slide, a rooftop ferris wheel and winding caves.

So when the City Museum asked Atomicdust to bring their unique spirit to life online, we were up for the challenge. The result? A website design that serves as a delightful and informative portal for both new and repeat visitors—and a win from the Web Excellence Awards.

The Web Excellence Awards recognize the very best in web design and development. Award winners push the limits of what’s possible on the web and set the standards for what makes a memorable website. The 8th annual competition received 1,200 entries from 39 countries and 47 U.S. states. We were honored to receive the award, especially for the City Museum site.

The updated City Museum website features bold, bright colors and a playful, eye-catching design. But it’s not just about looks—the site is also packed with features inviting visitors to explore all that City Museum has to offer.

The City Museum website is designed to encourage adventure, with intuitive navigation and clear, concise information—and no more, so that not all of the building’s curious contents are given away before someone even steps inside. Whether you’re a lifelong fan of the City Museum or a first-time visitor, you’ll find what you need on the site, but still discover new things when you actually go.

We’re proud of the work we did for the City Museum, and grateful for the chance to collaborate with such a weirdly wonderful organization.

Hats off to the City Museum on their win and thanks to the Web Excellence Awards for recognizing our work.
