Mike Spakowski to Speak at American Institute of Architects St. Louis Event

There’s a great quote about architecture that comes from a somewhat surprising source— Winston Churchill: “We shape our buildings: thereafter, they shape us.”

The sentence sums up the power of architecture in just a few words. Our team is continuously inspired by architecture, which is why we were thrilled to receive an invite from the local chapter of the American Institute of Architects to present to members during a day of professional growth.

Next Friday, Atomicdust Partner/Creative Director Mike Spakowski will be a featured speaker at an event hosted by the American Institute of Architects St. Louis Chapter. Part of the organization’s Christopher Kelly Leadership Development Program, the event focuses on “Closing the Deal.” Mike will share his expertise around how branding, marketing and design can attract audiences, add value without adding cost and heavily influence sales. In other words, how they can make closing deals much easier.

AIA St. Louis has more than 880 members in eastern Missouri. In addition to supporting members and fostering community within the industry, the organization advocates for the profession and policy supporting the field.

The Christopher Kelly Leadership Program trains and nurtures emerging leaders in the field of architecture. Participants go through an application process where they must exhibit proven career success and community involvement. The program consists of nine half-day sessions over the course of the year, each focusing on a different aspect of success in architecture, from entrepreneurship and community engagement to expanding the definition of practice.

Make sure to follow Atomicdust on LinkedIn and Instagram to see photos from the event and check out some recent architecture firm branding by our team.
