Anew Featured in PRINT Regional Design Annual 2017

Atomicdust’s brand identity for Anew is featured in the 2017 PRINT Regional Design Annual.

In late 2016, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri came to Atomicdust with a vision. They wanted to open an event venue atop their historic building in Grand Center, using the space to further the mission of the organization.

Anew was born. (And many rooftop happy hours and lunch pop-ups followed.)

Over the last year, the work we did with Anew has been honored by AIGA St. Louis, the American Advertising Awards, the Marketing Excellence Awards, the W3 Awards and the CSS Awards. This latest honor from PRINT is definitely the cherry on top of a great awards season for the project.

PRINT’s annual competition is one of the graphic design industry’s most prestigious and well-respected competitions. Each year, thousands of creative professionals submit their work to be featured.

Our nod for Anew is all the more meaningful as this is the last printed issue of PRINT. (Ironic, we know.)

For many of us, this annual issue of PRINT is something we look forward to year after year. When it arrived each December, we’d flip through to see the latest and greatest in graphic design. In fact, we have shelves filled with old issues of PRINT that we still turn to when we’re in need of some creative inspiration.

The move to digital-only was probably inevitable — this internet thing is really catching on, after all — but we’re happy to see that the annual competition will live on through PRINT’s website.

We’ll echo Steven Brower, the magazine’s former creative director/art director, by saying that PRINT will always be “America’s Graphic Design Magazine.”
