St. Louis Apartment Association Honors Cortona Marketing

St. Louis Apartment Association Honors Cortona Marketing

It’s been quite a year for our clients at Cortona at Forest Park. Just one year after their grand opening last spring, the complex is already leased at capacity and has a waitlist to move into one of their coveted 278 units.

And now, they’ve been honored by the St. Louis Apartment Association with two awards – the City Living Property of the Year Award and the Property Marketing Campaign of the Year Award.

In 2013, developer Balke Brown Transwestern enlisted the help of Atomicdust in branding their new property, Cortona. At the time, Cortona was just a name, a set of blueprints and renderings of the interior and exterior designs.

We developed a visual identity and positioning strategy for the brand that spoke not only to Cortona’s literal, central location, but to its aspirations as well: to build community, and to put residents in the middle of everything, including nightlife, recreation and entertainment. The tagline “Be at the center” and the new logo reflected this ambition, as well as Cortona’s actual shape. The branding was echoed in print collateral, on their website and in their social media and content marketing strategy.

In addition to this recent honor from the SLAA, our marketing campaign for Cortona has previously taken home wins at the 2014 American Advertising Awards and 2013 Targeted Advertising and Marketing (TAM) Awards. Our friends at Cortona have also been named Developer of the Year from Park Central Development Corporation, Best City Living from ALIVE Magazine and one of the Top 5 Residential Developments from St. Louis Magazine.

From the original concept to frequent visits to the construction site, we love that we were able to be involved with building Cortona from the ground up – literally. We can’t wait to see what the next year brings.
