Triple Threat Alex Linek Joins Atomicdust

Most days you can catch our newest Web Developer, Alex Linek, making a quick excursion next door to grab a mocha at Brennan’s Work & Leisure for an afternoon pick-me-up. The caffeine keeps her going—with a background comprised of design, advertising and coding, this triple threat has lots of ideas to bring to life.

A born-and-bred St. Louisan, Alex found her way to web design after getting a bachelor’s degree in graphic design from Fontbonne University, a minor in advertising and a certificate in web development. She was drawn to the ever-evolving nature of coding and the challenges it would bring, as well as the collaborative culture of the field.

Alex tries to incorporate a new skill or something she’s never done before into every project she touches, pushing herself to always keep learning and growing. She joins Atomicdust with experience building websites both in house and agency side. Her background in graphic design gives her a unique perspective as a developer. She understands designers’ decisions when looking at mockups and comes up with creative ways to execute their ideas.

In her free time, Alex reads, illustrates, and is building a few websites for fun, including one to share her infamous breakfast sandwich recipe through an illustrated diagram. Fascinated by data visualization, she’s currently learning more about how to collect, distill and convey complex information in dynamic and engaging ways.

Alex is already working on some big projects that we’ll share soon. In the meantime, join us in celebrating our newest arrival.

Let’s stay in touch! Keep up with the latest from Atomicdust.
