Atomicdust Named A Best Place to Work by St. Louis Business Journal

We’d like to thank our Breville espresso machine for swaying the votes.

Jokes aside—we’re honored to be named a finalist in St. Louis Business Journal’s 2024 Best Places to Work Awards. At the heart of our success is a simple yet powerful goal: surround ourselves with great team members and clients.

To determine the finalists, the St. Louis Business Journal sent anonymous surveys to employees at nominated companies. The survey asked about a range of factors—like communication, benefits and teamwork—related to happiness at work. With hundreds of companies entering throughout the region, we’re thrilled to be recognized as a finalist.

But we’re not alone. Several of our clients were also recognized as finalists. Congrats to Kadean Construction, ITF Group, McCarthy, Alberici, Maryville Consulting Group and ARCO Construction for being shortlisted as well!

Of course, there are a ton of factors behind any company culture. Ours is guided in part by Atomicdust’s three-part philosophy: To know truth. To make beauty. To do good.

To know truth.

Companies come to Atomicdust for help solving challenges. We start with getting to the truth of the matter with extensive research and strategy.

“Truth” also applies to the solutions our team creates—finding the best, most authentic way for companies to connect with audiences and reach their goals. At Atomicdust, good ideas win over rank or title, and team members are encouraged to go step outside of their lane to collaborate and innovate.

To make beauty.

Usually when we talk about “To make beauty.” it’s about creating beautiful, effective brands, objects and experiences for our clients and their audiences. But the process behind what we make as a branding and marketing agency has a big impact on company culture. The Atomicdust team is made of multi-talented and multi-passionate individuals collaborating to help our clients discover what’s possible. How that looks can vary a lot from project to project, from a brand refresh or new website build to a robust, multi-channel, multi-layer B2B digital ad campaign

In other words, the work we get to do is never boring. We partner with a wide variety of clients—from construction and architecture to technology, healthcare, and food and beverage.

Every once in a while we’ll even do the branding and website for a driveway fried chicken business.

It all adds up to mean always tackling new challenges and pursuing new ideas. As a group of creative folks, there’s nothing more energizing.

To do good.

We believe design can solve problems, inspire action, and show our clients and communities what’s possible.

This isn’t just about doing good for our clients (although that’s a major part of it.) It’s also about doing good for each other. Sometimes that’s sending a lunch delivery to a teammate who’s out sick, or a spontaneous ice cream run or little parking lot happy hour.

Taking care of the team also means offering great benefits, like hanging out on the beach during company trips to Mexico. (Teammates also get full coverage of medical, dental, disability and life/ADD insurance, plus matching for retirement… but we don’t have any fun pictures of those.)

As we wait to hear the winners of the Best Places to Work Awards in May, we’re giving a big shoutout to our amazing team members and clients. Atomicdust would be nowhere without our people, and we’re committed to celebrating that every day—awards or not.
